The American Marketing Association is a professional association for individuals and organizations involved in the practice, teaching and study of marketing worldwide. The Charleston American Marketing Association became an official chapter of the American Marketing Association in 2007. The Charleston AMA has more than 80 members representing industry sectors from higher education to agencies and non-profits. The organization is home to entry-level marketers as well as those with more than 20 years of experience and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Charleston AMA holds luncheons monthly in addition to the SPARK! Awards for Marketing Excellence and two after-hours events.
